Mike and Joni Preston are from California but Joni’s family is originally from Short, Oklahoma. Mike’s family moved to California from Ohio.  Moving away from CA to another state was tough at first, but Joni had family from Texas and Oklahoma so that helped initiate the process. Living in the San Francisco Bay area was not only expensive, but the quality of life was not what we wanted for our family or for our own lives. Joni and was a top selling Realtor® with various new home builders in the Bay Area of CA with over 20 years of sales and marketing experience as well as construction. Mike was a CPA working for a large accounting firm where he ran their tax practice for the West Coast as well as running all things Talent for his company so working with people is his special talent. His job was national so we were able to live in any town as long as there was an airport. We are so glad we made the move when we did, because the prices in Texas have already gone up a lot in ten years. We have seen the housing values going up in Texas since moving here ten years ago: we have been able to buy/sell eleven properties in three different states since then and have done pretty well on the lower priced homes. This is why we decided to buy land in Oklahoma and sell home sites to those who have not the ability to come and see and choose. We ran all over and found some great gems on major highways so that our home owners could be quickly into town or Fort Smith. We have learned a lot and would love to share our experiences and help you make the move.

Joni was consistently a Top Producing Agent and received a MAME Award for Sales Person of the Year by the New Home Builders Association of Northern California, selling $85 million dollars worth of homes in 2005. As Community Sales Manager, with a Master Degree in International Relations, Joni sold homes as they were under construction  in Livermore, Concord, Dublin, Napa, Brentwood, and Martinez during a nine year period. The construction process comes naturally for Joni, and Mike has grown to love it as well.

Mike retires as Chief Talent Officer of his firm in June of 2019 so he will be enjoying his life as an avid golfer as well as helping others to determine the best place for their circumstances to retire to, as well as helping in the budgeting process.
